Why me?

This event is for practitioners, programme managers and evaluators who want to understand principles of actor centred design, monitoring and evaluation and have skills to implement that thinking. It is also for funders and supporters of social or environmental change interventions who want to decolonise their practice with participatory and inclusive funding decisions and programme support.

What will I get?

This event offers guided thinking and practice in Outcome Mapping, Outcome Harvesting and combinations of the two with other methods. We’ll use presentations, videos, case studies, practical exercises, facilitated discussion, small groups and educational games. Over four days we cover:

• The principles underlying OM and OH and how to apply them in practice. 

• Ideas, thinking and skills in actor centred design monitoring evaluation or funding.

• An opportunity to apply OM and OH to your own situation, with facilitators’ guidance and engaged thinking from your co-participants.

• How OM and OH fit with and differ from other methods e.g. Logical Framework, Most Significant Change, Results Based Management, Realist Evaluation.

• An introduction to OM+, an equity focused tool that ensure our OM designs value inclusion equity and transforming power relations.

• Guided practice in spreadsheets and software for actor-centred M+E. 

You’ll also get a community of practice of actor-centred thinkers and practitioners: your co-participants, four OMLC facilitators and an entry into the global OMLC.
