PCMi is based on a script for the ETH Zurich NADEL courses on results-based management of projects in international cooperation. The concepts, methods and instruments described are those currently used for results-based project cycle management in most international development agencies. In addition to the print version, PCMi offers a whole variety of multimedia material and interactive learning tools.
In this chapter we briefly introduce and discuss three participatory and results based or outcome-oriented planning approaches:
- Logical Framework Approach
- Theory of Change
- Outcome Mapping
