This practical guide aims at supporting organisations who seek to integrate and operationalize the sustainable development goals (SDGs) within their development programmes.
This publication may be of particular interest to the OMLC because it highlights (see chapter 3.1) how outcome mapping provides a useful approach to operationalise the SDG principles of ‘Leaving No One Behind’, ‘Indivisibility of the SDG framework’ and ‘Multistakeholder Partnerships’. The guide also illustrates how the spheres of influence framework and progress markers offer practical tools for developing actor focused theories of change that promote results based learning and adaptive programming.
The guide (and accompanying toolkit) can as well be accessed on the ‘SDG as a Compass’ project website: https://hiva.kuleuven.be/en/research/theme/globaldevelopment/p/sdgcompassbelgdevcoop/sdgshome.
This website also offers a training package, including a series of short videos summarising the contents of the Practical Guide; other project publications; and additional supporting video material on the Sustainable Development Goals.
