Summary: The Team Tanzania project used an “infotainment” approach to contribute to gender equality in Tanzania. Outcome Harvesting was used to identify behavioural changes among the communities the project had been seeking to influence directly. The findings demonstrate that the aspects of The Team intervention investigated have generally been very effective having contributed to numerous examples of changes in women, men, boys and girls, that either demonstrate or are relevant to the achievement of greater gender equality. The evidence of change was surprising because the project was only 18 months long and the challenge of influencing gender attitudes is not insignificant.
